“Avanti”, touted as the first ‘Made in India’ sports car, has been launched by top car designer Dilip Chhabria in Pune. This much awaited car has been launched at a starting price of Rs 35.92 lakh and will be available in 3 variants – red, silver and white colours.
This sports car is powered by Renault sourced 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with a six-speed manual transmission that develops 250bhp at 5500rpm.
The two-seater sports car measures 4560 mm in length, 1960 mm in width and height of 1200 mm and weighs about 1580 kg. It comes with 155 mm of ground clearance mainly suitable for Indian roads.
Avanti runs from 0-100 kmph in just 6 seconds, with the highest speed electronically limited to 200 kmph.
